{"id":710,"date":"2017-04-29T23:31:22","date_gmt":"2017-04-29T15:31:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.coipsi.com\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=710"},"modified":"2017-04-29T23:31:22","modified_gmt":"2017-04-29T15:31:22","slug":"national-day-of-the-peoples-republic-of-china","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/www.coipsi.com\/pt-br\/event\/national-day-of-the-peoples-republic-of-china\/","title":{"rendered":"National Day of the People&#8217;s Republic of China"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <b>National Day of the People&#8217;s Republic of China<\/b> is a <a title=\"Public holidays in China\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Public_holidays_in_China\">public holiday in the People&#8217;s Republic of China<\/a> to celebrate the <a title=\"National day\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/National_day\">national day<\/a>, and is celebrated annually on October 1.<sup id=\"cite_ref-3\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/National_Day_of_the_People%27s_Republic_of_China#cite_note-3\">[3]<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n<p>The PRC was founded on September 21, 1949, with a ceremony celebrating the forming of the Central People&#8217;s Government taking place in <a title=\"Tiananmen Square\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tiananmen_Square\">Tiananmen Square<\/a> on October 1 that year.<sup id=\"cite_ref-4\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/National_Day_of_the_People%27s_Republic_of_China#cite_note-4\">[4]<\/a><\/sup> The Central People&#8217;s Government passed the <i>Resolution on the National Day of the People&#8217;s Republic of China<\/i> on December 2, 1949, and declared that October 1 is the National Day.<sup id=\"cite_ref-5\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/National_Day_of_the_People%27s_Republic_of_China#cite_note-5\">[5]<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n<p>The National Day marks the start of only one of the <a title=\"Golden Week (China)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Golden_Week_(China)\">Golden Weeks<\/a> in the PRC. However, there have been some <a title=\"Golden Week (China)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Golden_Week_(China)#Controversy\">recent controversies<\/a> over whether Golden Weeks should be kept.<\/p>\n<p>The National Day is celebrated throughout <a title=\"Mainland China\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mainland_China\">mainland China<\/a>, <a title=\"Hong Kong\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hong_Kong\">Hong Kong<\/a>, and <a title=\"Macau\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Macau\">Macau<\/a> with a variety of <a title=\"Government\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Government\">government<\/a>-organized festivities, including fireworks and concerts. Public places, such as <a title=\"Tiananmen Square\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tiananmen_Square\">Tiananmen Square<\/a> in <a title=\"Beijing\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Beijing\">Beijing<\/a>, are decorated in a festive theme.
